I’m a Women’s Health & Wellness Coach specializing in menopause and midlife wellness, a Certified Personal Trainer, and the owner of Own It Personal Training.
I have a degree in Community Health Science from Brock University, a background in education, and more than eight years of experience working with women as a personal trainer. I opened my own training business in 2018, and my interest in women’s health—along with my own experience navigating the menopause transition—led me to further my education and become a Certified Menopause Coaching Specialist through GGS.
What surprised me was just how much there is to learn about menopause. Even with my background in health and fitness, I quickly realized how much more there was to understand. The research continues to evolve, and continuing to learn and educate myself is an important part of what I do.
My approach is practical and straightforward. I’m not here to tell you exactly what you should or shouldn’t do. I help women better understand their symptoms, the changes they may be experiencing during the menopause transition, and how the bigger picture—strength and movement, nutrition, sleep, stress and everyday lifestyle can play a role.
What works for one women may not work for another. My role is to provide education, reliable information, options and realistic strategies so you can make informed decisions about what works best for you and your life.
I also believe what we do now matters for the years ahead. Whether you're in your 30s and beginning to notice changes, in the middle of the menopause transition, or well beyond it, there are things you can start, change or build on today that can help you feel better now while supporting your health and strength for the future.
My job is to educate, guide and support you—so you can feel the best you can today while doing things your future self will thank you for.
